A new pride and joy

Our managing director Gareth Rees bough this old tractor from Gerry Tomms manager at the Millennium Stadium two years ago when, it’s fair to say, it had seen better times. It had to be lifted off the trailer with a fork lift as it was not running and was a total wreck. Gareth’s father has spent the last two years working on the tractor and restoring it to its former glory. The McCormick 434 was made in Doncaster, South Yorkshire in 1964 so is older than Gareth but of course not older than his dad who clearly knows exactly what he is doing when it comes to restoring old machinery! The tractor is now ready for showing at local shows and looks set for a long and useful retirement which will give pleasure to a great many people - not least Gareth and his dad!
