The bad weather has slightly got in the way of a promising start in the restoration of a pitch at Loughor AFC which involves among other things sorting out a dramatic difference of 18 feet between one goal mouth and another.

A spot of bulldozing and laser levelling has done the trick and sand has been spread ready for installation of the drainage when we remobilize. After that of course there will still be much to do to create the playing surface itself.

There’s always a certain feeling of excitement in the air when a substantial project that you know is going to be of lasting worthwhile benefit approaches completion. Nowhere is this truer than at Cowbridge School where, as our picture shows, work has started out on marking out the multi use games areas we constructed as the final stage of a scheme which also saw the completion of the first artificial pitch in South Wales to be approved for football, hockey and rugby.
Marking out the pitch is one of the final steps in transforming the areas from slabs of tarmac to what will become facilities that are fully floodlit - catering for a range of outdoor activities by school and local community including football, rugby, tennis, netball, hockey, lacrosse and rounders. See what we mean by worthwhile?
