Further work at the Millennium Stadium

Due to an outbreak of root knot nematodes in the pitch at the Millennium stadium, which affects the quality of the stadium’s turf, the stadium manager Gerry Toms has decided to replace the pitch before the first autumn rugby international takes place against South Africa on 8th November.
The treatment of the existing turf would take a number of weeks and therefore there was no alternative but to replace the pitch.
Inscapes started work at the stadium yesterday and has already korrowed off the pitch and removed the contaminated soil from the stadium. We have today brought in some additional soil and are in the process of spreading this across the pitch area.
