Isle of Grain to Shorne pipeline

Posted on: October 8, 2008 by rosemarierees posted in News

National Grid is constructing a gas pipeline from the Isle of Grain to Shorne to ensure that natural gas can be transported from the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) importation terminal at the Isle of Grain to help meet the growing demand for gas supplies in London and the South of England.

Inscapes have recently started environmental work in conjunction with the Isle of Grain to Shorne pipeline.  The turf was lifted to a depth of 300mm along the pipeline and translocation of this turf has now been completed.

Inscapes will then relocate the turf once the construction of the pipeline is completed, ensuring that the land is reinstated to its original condition.  Updated news of this environmental work will be detailed on our website as the project progresses.
