Inscapes Charity Golf Day

The Inscapes charity golf day took place at the Celtic Manor on Monday of this week.
Twelve teams took to the Montgomerie course to play against each other for the cup. Everyone agreed that the course was outstanding even though it proved very challenging for some of the competitors! Thankfully the weather was not as bad as the weekend before and the golfers only had to contend with rain for a very short period whilst out on the course.

After the day’s play, everyone retired to the golf club (the nineteenth hole) for a meal and the presentations. Clive Sensier from the HSBC team won “Nearest the Pin” whilst Mike Brear from the Mansfield Sand team won “Longest Drive”. The Precedent team took third place in the team competition, narrowly being beaten into second place by the SG Services team (who were last year’s winners), but the winning team was Mansfield Sand; a great achievement as they have been close contenders for the cup over the past few years! Well done to all the winners and thanks to everyone who supported our charity golf day.
The profit from the day will be going to Heronsbridge School, Bridgend and once the final figure has been calculated we will be presenting a cheque to Chris Major and the staff at Heronsbridge, so keep checking the website for this news!
