Korrowing at the Millennium Stadium

The “Stereophonics” and “Feeder” were just two of the performers that took to the stage in the Millennium Stadium during the “Grand Slam” celebration party on the afternoon of May Bank Holiday.
Once the music had stopped and the stage was dismantled, we moved into the stadium the following afternoon to remove the existing surface. 40mm was korrowed off in two passes of the machine, the first just taking off the vegetation and a small amount of soil and the latter just soil, this soil will now be re-used.
There were no real problems and this exercise was completed in time for the pitch removal to take place the next morning.
